Junior Josh Hogan Places First at Wildcats Spring Invitational
JWU shot a 480 (320-160) while Husson took home the team championship with a 468 (313-155) over the par 71 course that measures 6,493 yards. The tournament was shortened to 27 holes after poor weather conditions on Sunday afternoon.
Southern Maine's Josh Hogan took home medalist honors for the tournament, carding a 110 (72-38). Senior Brett Kapteina (Stamford, Conn.) was the second Husky finisher placing 33rd with a score of 123.
Johnson & Wales sophomore Matt Ross (Marshfield, Mass.), competing as an individual, finished in a tie for second place with a 111 (72-39). Sophomore Sam Parella (Douglas, Mass.) was tied for sixth place with a 116 (78-38) while senior James Cute (Rehoboth, Mass.) finished tied for tenth-place with a 117 (78-39). Sophomore Mike Bubolo (Cortland Manor, N.Y.) recorded a tie for 22nd place with a 120 (81-39) over the weekend.
