Davis earned the honor after his outstanding performance at the 2011 ECAC Division III New England Championship hosted by Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa.  Davis finished fourth in the decathlon to lead the Huskies.  His fourth place finish in the ten-discipline event earned the Huskies all five of their points at the championship.  Southern Maine finished in a six-way tie for 38th out 58 scoring teams.

    Davis recorded a pair of second place finishes in two disciplines to highlight his competition.  Davis was second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.22 second and in the high jump, clearing 1.85 meters.  Davis scored 1378 of his 5422 points in those events.  Davis also finished tied for third in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:44.99 and fourth in the pole vault clearing 3.14 meters (10 feet, 4.00 inches).
