GORHAM, Maine -- The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) announced today that University of Southern Maine freshman guard Erin McNamara (West Newbury, Mass./Pentucket Regional) has been named the Rookie of the Year for the 2010-11 season.  The announcement was made after a vote by member coaches.

The MWBCA also announced that junior forward Courtney Cochran (Waite, Maine/Wood-land) had been voted to the All-State first team, and McNamara was among the five players named to the All-Rookie team.
