USM 19th in Nation in Final USTFCCCA Dual Meet Rankings
GORHAM, Maine -- The University of Southern Maine women's indoor track and field team placed 19th among the 78 schools in final USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) NCAA Division III Track and Field Dual Meeting Rankings released recently.
The unique rankings are based upon a team's total-point score that is the sum of all points earned by that team in each event. Teams are allowed to select up to two athletes per event, and an athlete can only be used in a maximum of three events (not including relays). Only one relay team per event can be selected. The points are based on the best marks in an event in the current season.
The Huskies finished the 2010-11 indoor season with a rating of 132.00 point.
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh was the top-ranked team in the final rankings with 160.35 points.
