The 2007 Little East Conference Rookie of the Year for women’s lacrosse, Jessica Tremblay, Class of 2012, went on to be named the 2009 and 2010 Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year. A four-time All-LEC pick, Tremblay was a first-team selection in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She finished her career as the program’s all-time leading goal scorer (209), and the team’s all-time leader in points with 248 (209 goals, 39 assists).
In 2010, Tremblay established a single-season record with 77 goals leading the Huskies to their first Little East Conference Championship and berth into the NCAA Division III National Championship tournament. She was the first USM women’s lacrosse player to earn IWLCA All-Region honors (2010) and ECAC Division III All-New England honors.
Captain of the record-setting 2010 team, Tremblay earned her degree in Psychology and Holistic Health in 2012. She was a member of the Huskies’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and attended the NCAA Leadership Conference during the summer of 2008. Presently a stay-at-home mom with her three children, Tremblay started a home-school cooperative preschool for children ages 3-5. She is completing her Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Southern Maine with an anticipated graduation date of 2019.
