Meredith Bradley Bickford, Class of 1998. Meredith Bradley Bickford established her mark in two sports. An NFHCA All-American in field hockey her senior season (1997), she also earned Regional All-American honors on the softball diamond in 1998 after helping USM reach the NCAA tournament for the first time. In four seasons playing field hockey for Hall of Fame coach Paula Hogdon, Bradley Bickford played in 78 games, scoring 28 goals, including eight game winning goals, and passing off 12 assists for 68 points. Heading into 2006, she tied for seventh on the all-time scoring and assists lists, and is tied for fifth in career points. A tri-captain, Bradley Bickford led USM in scoring three straight seasons, including a career high 23 points in the 1997 season. During her career, USM played in three ECAC tournaments. Bradley Bickford played two seasons of softball (1996, 1998), batting .388 with nine doubles, three triples and 34 RBI as USM won the Little East Conference regular season and tournament championships, and went on to the NCAA tournament for the first time.
