MARK CARRAGHER, Class of 2007, Ice Hockey
The all-time leader in goals scored (63), points (130) and power-play goals (28) for the Huskies’ men’s ice hockey program, Mark Carragher earned a host of accolades in his final season, including USCHO.com All-East honorable mention, New England Hockey Writers’ All-Star Team and ECAC East First Team honors. Serving as the Huskies’ captain during the 2006-2007 season, Carragher led the ECAC East in scoring with 47 points and was second in goals scored with 22. A three-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete, Carragher was a four-year member of USM’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and participated in the NCAA Leadership Conference in 2006. Carragher earned his degree in Business Administration in 2007 and worked for the PEI Liquor Control Commission in addition to serving as an assistant men’s hockey coach at the University of Prince Edward Island.
