Completing his career as a Husky with an outstanding 73.3 strokes average, James "JJ" Frost was the top golfer at Southern Maine from 2003-2005, finishing as the individual medalist on nine separate occasions and earning All-New England honors in 2003 and 2005. In his final season (2005), Frost was the individual medalist at the UNE Invitational, the Bowdoin Invitational, the USM Fall Classic and the Husson Invitational and finished tied for top honors at the Maine State Intercollegiate Championship. Frost was named to the NCAA Division III All-New England team by the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) to cap of his outstanding career, which was marked by numerous outstanding performances.
During the 2003 season, Frost led Southern Maine to a team title at the Maine State Intercollegiate Golf Championship, claiming the individual title on the first playoff hole. Later, Frost placed second overall at the NEIGA Championships – which features teams and competitors from NCAA Division I, II and III institutions – and was the top Division III finisher. In 2004, Frost helped USM to its best-ever team-finish at the NEIGA Championship, placing 10th overall and first among Division III school. Frost also had tremendous individual success, earning medalist honors three times, including his win at the Husson Invitational after a three-hole playoff.
Named to the Dean's list five times, Frost earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2006 and another Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2011. He is currently the Billing and Payroll Supervisor for Creative Work Systems in Portland, Maine.
