Jessie Superchi Gaudioso, Field Hockey & Lacrosse, Class of 2005. The Little-East Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2003, Superchi Gaudioso was a three-time All-LEC Selection. Over her four-year career, Superchi Gaudioso posted a 1.08 goals-against average making 531 saves and collecting 24 shutouts. In her senior season, Superchi Gaudioso compiled a 0.97 goals against average while making 176 saves and posting 10 shutouts en route to winning the LEC Defensive Player of the Year honor and receiving STX/NFHCA second team All-America honors. She was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week five times during the season, including four consecutive weeks. Her outstanding play backstopped the Huskies to the Little East championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament. Heading into the 2012 season, Superchi Gaudioso was ranked fifth all-time in goal against average, and second for career saves and shutouts. She is one of three USM goalies to have two or more seasons with a goals against average below 1.00. She also was a member of the Huskies women’s lacrosse team for three years playing in 40 games.
