GORHAM, Maine – As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the University of Southern Maine Huskies' field hockey team will host a "Think Pink" Game on Saturday, October 6 at Hannaford Field in Gorham, Maine to help raise awareness and charitable contributions towards Breast Cancer Research and Prevention.
As part of the day's events, the Southern Maine field hockey team will host the Western Connecticut State University Colonials in a Little East Conference game at 11 a.m.. Huskies' field hockey players will be showing their support by wearing articles of pink with their uniforms, and are encouraging their fans to wear pink in support as well. With the goal of raising funds, Huskies field hockey will be selling pink t-shirts, hats and ribbons. Proceeds from the event will be donated to cancer research.
