Croteau Leads Southern Maine at JWU Wildcat Spring Invitational
CRANSTON, R.I. --Junior Brendon Croteau (Lewiston, Maine) finished in a multi-player tie for 34th place to lead the University of Southern Maine golf team to a 15th place finish at the 36-hole Wildcat Spring Invitational hosted by Johnson and Wales University at the Cranston Country Club.
Croteau carded an opening round 6-over par 77 on Saturday, and added an 8-over par 79 on Sunday for a two-day total of 156.
Southern Maine compiled a two-day team score of 661. Amherst College, led by individual medalist Cole Vissicchio, finished on top of the standings with an impressive two-day score of 596. Providence College was runner-up, four strokes behind Amherst. Host Johnson and Wales was third at 605, and Husson University at 613 and Springfield College at 619 completed the top five.
The Wildcat Spring Invitational is the lone spring event for the Huskies.
