Huskies Host Salem State University on Tuesday (7 p.m.)
GORHAM, Maine -- The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced on Monday afternoon that University of Southern Maine junior goaltender Anthony D'Aloisio (Frisco, Texas) and senior forward Mark Tomaschek (Toms River, N.J.) have been selected for the men's weekly honor roll for the week of November 18-24.
In three games last week, D'Aloisio fashioned a 2-1 record with a 1.01 goals against average and a .962 save percentage. He stopped 21 shots in a 2-1 non-conference loss at Anna Maria College, then backstopped the Huskies to back-to-back NEHC road wins over Suffolk University and Johnson and Wales University. The third-year netminder had 33 saves in the Huskies' 2-1 overtime victory at Suffolk, and made 21 saves to earn his third career shutout in a 5-0 win against Johnson and Wales the next afternoon.
Tomaschek had two goals and one assist in the Huskies' weekend sweep of Suffolk and JWU. He scored the game-winning goal 13 seconds into overtime against Suffolk. The next afternoon, he had the game-winning goal and an assist against JWU.
The weekly honor roll recognition is the second of the season for D'Aloisio's. He previously was named to the honor roll on November 11. D'Aloisio also received Rookie of the Week honors on two occasions during the 2017-18 season. The weekly citation is the first of his career for Tomaschek.
On the season, Tomaschek has two goals and three assists for five points in seven games. D'Aloisio has put together a 2-3 record to go along with his 1.74 goals against average and a .942 save percentage.
Southern Maine (2-5-0; 2-4-0 NEHC) hosts Salem State University (1-4-0; 1-3-0 MASCAC) for a non-conference game Tuesday evening (7 p.m.) at the USM Ice Arena.
