GORHAM, Maine – Junior guard Jackie Luckhardt (Londonderry, N.H.) and freshman forward Victoria Harris (Lewiston, Maine) of University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's basketball team have both earned honor roll recognition from the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) for the week ending Sunday, November 25.
In Southern Maine's only action of the week, a loss to No. 12 St. Joseph's College (Maine), both Luckhardt and Harris turned in strong performances. Harris, a 5-11 forward, continued her strong play off of the bench for the Huskies chipping in five points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field in seven minutes of action. Harris is averaging 8.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.8 blocks per game, and is shooting 54.2 percent from the field.
Luckhardt, a 5-5 guard, was 6-for-7 from the field for season-high 14 points to lead the Huskies. She added four rebounds, three assists, three steals and a blocked shot in an outstanding performance. Shooting 54.2 percent from the field, and 50.0 percent from three-point range through four games this season, Luckhardt is averaging 8.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 0.8 blocked shots per game.
Southern Maine is in action on Wednesday (5:30 p.m.) at UMass Dartmouth for its Little East Conference opener.
