            Now in her second season with the women's ice hockey coaching staff is former USM standout Cassandra Sherman.

            During her four seasons with the Huskies (2012-2016), Sherman was a two-time captain and played in 104 games scoring 47 points on 25 goals and 22 assists.  She led the team in scoring during the 2015-16 season with a career-high nine goals and five assists for 14 points.  Sherman also had two short-handed goals and six game-winning goals during her career.

            A two-time ECAC Women's East Rookie of the Week selection (Dec. 3, Jan. 14) during her rookie season (2012-13), Sherman was also an ECAC Women's East All-Academic Team honoree in 2014-15.  She also earned a weekly honor roll citation (Feb. 8) from the New England Hockey Conference during her final season.

            After her playing days with the Huskies, Sherman played professionally for two years.  She spent the 2016-17 season helping Dusseldorf (DEG - Frauen eishockey) win the league championship.  Last season, Sherman played with the Boston Blades in the CWHL.
